Demolition, site work, paving, outdoor lighting, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Davis, California. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility; for the addition of a 8,500-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a 6,700-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
Provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, insurance, and services for the construction of a new building addition and renovation of a portion of the 1st and 2nd floors of existing buildings. The project consists of a new 8,500 square foot addition to an existing building that includes two levels above grade and a basement level below grade, and the renovation of approximately 6,700 square feet of existing buildings as follows: 5,000 square feet of the 1st and 2nd floor of the existing pre-cast concrete hospital building and 1,700 square feet of the 1st floor of the existing pre-cast concrete barn space both constructed in 1969. The Work is comprised of the construction of a two-story concrete masonry and steel structure addition to the VMTH/Pritchard with floors of concrete-filled metal decking. The new partial basement will be constructed of concrete and shotcrete. The new addition and renovated spaces will receive new interior partitions, new exterior and interior doors and windows, new ceiling systems, new roofing materials, new utilities, and new building systems. The new addition will be fully sprinklered and be of Type 1B construction. The new spaces will be served by a new AHU unit on the new roof and will be equipped with VFDs. The renovated spaces will be served by existing AHUs located on the existing roof. Underground site utility upgrades are required to support the new addition. Site improvements include new concrete and asphalt pathways, new site lighting, new landscaping and irrigation, and new site walls. In addition to the Work described above, the project will also include the demolition of interior partition walls, utilities, and building systems to accommodate interior space remodel on the first and second levels in VMTH/Pritchard, VMTH Ward (B Barn), and Veterinary Medicine 2. The Work includes, but is not limited to, hazardous materials abatement and removal, demolition, drilled displacement piers, grading, underground utilities, landscape, concrete, metal stud/gypsum board partitions, plaster repair, structural steel, steel framing, roofing, miscellaneous metals, fall protection, casework, flooring, lighting, ceiling systems, wall finishes, electrical, telecommunications, Audio/Visual, building security system, plumbing, HVAC, fire alarm and fire sprinklers. Assist the University achieve specific energy and environmental performance goals on this project. Many features have been included in the design of this project toward that end. Support this effort in several areas as outlined in these specifications including: Section 01 91 00 Commissioning, Section 01 74 00 Cleaning and Waste Management, Section 01 81 19 Indoor Air Quality Requirements and the use of recycled and locally manufactured materials Section 01 60 00 Product Requirements.
