The Regents of the University of California on behalf of the University of California, Davis ("UCD"), Design and Construction Management Department, is currently seeking to invite qualified Bidder's to submit bids forequipment to replace our current Ultraviolet (UV) Disinfection System at our Waste Water Treatment plant. Interested bidders shall provide pricing for the list of items as attached to this RFX. The resulting award will be a Purchase Agreement, per the RFX specifications, FOB Destination Freight Prepaid and Add. The existing Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) at the University of California, Davis is located on approximately 16.5 acres in the south campus area. It provides tertiary wastewater treatment for the campus. Treated effluent is discharged to the Arboretum Waterway or to the South Fork of Putah Creek and is used for Title 22 recycled water on campus. The existing Trojan UV3000 disinfection system is housed in three UV channels; two were installed in 1999 and a third added in 2007. The existing UV system, and associated systems as necessary, will be removed and replaced with a state-of-the-art UV system. The equipment will largely be an in-kind replacement, although the existing UV channels may require modifications to support the replacement system. The Project will be traditional "Design-Bid-Build" delivery method, with construction expected to begin in 2021. At least one channel of the existing system must remain operational until the new system is operational. The University wishes to procure the UV disinfection system prior to putting the installation construction project out to bid, due to the long lead time for production of the equipment. This procurement request is for equipment and services associated with the replacement Ultraviolet (UV) Disinfection System. Through this contract, UV Disinfection System Seller (hereafter called Supplier) will furnish all equipment, and appurtenances required to provide an open-channel, gravity-flow, low-pressure, high-output (LPHO) lamp, UV disinfection system complete with an automatic cleaning system. The UV system is to be complete and operational with all control and appurtenant equipment as shown on the provided procurement documents. The Supplier shall provide installation support, start-up services, and operator-maintenance training as described in the procurement documents. The Supplier shall assist with system commissioning and performance testing as described in the procurement documents. Installation of the UV Disinfection System shall be performed under a separate contract by the Installation Contractor (hereafter called Contractor). The Supplier will assign the equipment agreement to the Installation Contractor. Services included are described in the plans and technical specifications. Control System services include: preparation of shop drawings and submittals, shipping and delivery, programing the control system, attending coordination meetings, field quality control testing and training. Note, the University has a Vendor Risk Assessment in progress for the control software and hardware, which is currently use by the University on the existing UV Disinfection system. UV Disinfection System services include: project management, preparation of shop drawings and submittals, system design, shipping and delivery, field equipment checks, factory acceptance testing, field testing and training.
