Saving Project...

Site work, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Clearwater, Florida. Completed plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; and 4,000-seat theater / auditorium.

The Imagine Clearwater plan proposes building a new garden in what is now Coachman Park; the green for concerts where there is currently a parking lot; a lake under the Memorial Causeway, a half-mile Bluff Walk with shaded paths, gardens and terraces; a gateway plaza with water features and event space at the corner of Cleveland Street and Osceola Avenue; and mixed use developments on the current City Hall and Harborview building sites. As of August 27, 2020, this project is in design and there is no set start date. City Council has approved a work order for the design, permitting, and construction services for the revitalization of Coachman Park. Once the city council approves the designs and the city's Planning and Development Department approves the permits, the building of the amphitheater and other buildings will begin. A construction manager has been selected. While Phase 1 is under construction, the council will consider Phase 2 plans and approval.
