Site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Simi Valley, California. Design plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
This project includes the rehabilitation of an existing bridge on Los Angeles Avenue, 0.1 miles west of First Street. A scoping study is required by Caltrans for the deficiency of the bridge prior to determining the design, which is currently scheduled to begin in September 2024. Funding is from the Caltrans Highway Bridge Replacement and Rehabilitation Program. This project is currently in the City of Simi Valley's FY 2024-2029 CIP. Per the owner, as of December 10, 2025, this project is in the design phase. Information regarding a timeline for bidding and construction have not been determined.
