The Rush Creek Trail Grade Separation at Winnetka/Xylon Avenue (Project #2071) in Brooklyn Park, MN is a significant infrastructure improvement aimed at enhancing pedestrian and cyclist safety. Purpose: Construct a trail tunnel beneath Winnetka Avenue to eliminate at-grade crossings and improve safety for trail users. Location: Intersection of Winnetka Avenue and Xylon Avenue, part of the Rush Creek Regional Trail. Lead Agency: City of Brooklyn Park, in partnership with Three Rivers Park District As of October 30, 2025, per owner, project started in August 2025 and is 95% complete. Will be completed November 14, 2025. Design team identified.
