Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Northridge, California. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 62,400-square-foot, two-story above grade playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for the demolition of a 4,300-square-foot playground / park / athletic field.

This project will construct a two-story building (#131) with 62,400 ASF/83,800 GSF to consolidate the Athletics Department into a singular facility. Currently Athletics is spread out amongst four separate facilities across the University's 356-acre campus, administration in the Athletics Administrative Office Building (#28), coaches in Matador Hall (#61), Training and Sports Medicine in Redwood Hall (#16), and Athletics Student Support and Athlete Academic Advising in Bayramian Hall (#9). The Matador Achievement Center (MAC), will be located southeast of Redwood Hall (#16), and built over the existing F5 surface parking lot, landscaping, and the current Athletic Administrative Office Building (Building #28). The Athletics Office Building (4,300 GSF), which is a temporary structure, will be demolished to make way for the new facility. Proceeding with this project is dependent upon a viable financial plan and qualification for placement in the Systemwide Revenue Bond Program. As of July 26, 2022, further details regarding design and construction timelines have not been identified. Funding has not been allocated.
