Site work, asbestos abatement and renovation of a municipal facility in Vancouver, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a two-story above grade municipal facility; and for asbestos abatement for a municipal facility.
Base building and tenant improvements, involving hazardous materials abatement consulting coordination and seismic upgrades to the existing building. Interior fit out of approximately 38,000 square feet of an existing building shell as a result of Phase 1 involving demolition and hazmat remediation. Exterior wall upgrade with new insulation and vapour barrier; removal of existing windows with asbestos containing mastic, and replacement with new; installation of new windows and skylights. Supply and installation of new mechanical and electrical systems. New exterior entrance vestibules/canopies and new exit stair. Seismic upgrade with work on both floors; Parking lot re-configuration and re-surfacing of both north and south lots; (the parking lot work of the south parking lot shall be a separate price) Additional hazmat remediation on the second floor and lower floor in areas affected by the renovations and seismic work; As the lower level (warehouse) is occupied, thoughtful staging and coordination of the work with existing tenants is required, in particular for the seismic upgrade and parking lot re-surfacing work.
