Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Vancouver, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
The City of Vancouver is looking for a qualified roofing contractor to upgrade the roof at the Britannia Community Centre pool and ice rink. The City invites Tenders for sloped cedar shingles roof replacement at the Britannia Pool and Rink buildings. The Work generally includes, but is not limited to: Removal of all existing cedar shingles and underlayment and replace with new asphalt shingle system as per consultant provided design for each building. Perform any rot repair as required and directed by the consultant and the city (unit price item) Both the pool and rink shall remain operational throughout construction. Successful proponent is to ensure proper protections are established/erected to maintain all existing access & egress into each building at the Britannia complex including public corridor between buildings. There is no large events currently scheduled; however, there are regular summer camps expected. There is currently a scheduled rooftop unit (RTU) replacement project that will occur sometime between June and August at the Britannia Pool building. It is city's desire to complete the re-roof for the pool either prior or after the RTU project as to avoid a multiple prime contractors site. Specific time for the RTU will be communicated with the successful proponent once the dates are known.
