Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Calgary, Alberta. Completed plans call for the demolition of a fire / police facility; for the construction of a 16,362-square-foot, two-story above grade fire / police facility; 50,587-square-foot, four-story above grade, 48-unit multi-residential development; 4,687-square-foot, one-story above grade day care center; and 1,911-square-foot, one-story above grade office development.
New fire station with household hazardous waste drop-off, 48 affordable housing units, office space and commercial retail unit. New integrated civic facility to be developed with no disruption to daily operations of existing Fire Station 17, to include Furnishings, Fittings and Equipment (FF&E) and to achieve LEED & WELL. Phase 2 if funding becomes available, demo of existing Fire Station and new future park within proposed lot 2 may be awarded under this RFP, subject to approval of the City. *Scheduled Operational Date - October 2, 2023.
