Anticipated Construction Cost $5,000,000-$5,999,999 Purpose And Need : The purpose of 5150-02-00 project is to improve the existing pavement. Current pavement surface has deteriorated with numerous cracks, ruts, and spot surface repairs. The project is needed to improve the pavement performance and extend its service life. The proposed improvement is to mill and overlay the existing pavement. Replace guardrail and end treatments as needed. Project Description : The project begins at the STH 35 intersection continues westerly through the Village of Desoto and extends 14.9 miles to the STH 27 intersection. In the urban section, 4 inches of the pavement will be milled and removed with a new 4 inch mat paved back. In the large rural section, 3.5 inch of pavement will be milled and removed with the same depth paved back. Beam guard and signing will be replaced/upgraded. Basis Of Payment Notification : The contract price will be based on the selected consultant's actual costs plus fixed fee. Actual costs will be defined as those costs allowable under the cost principles in Part 31 of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). ; Consultant costs including indirect cost rates and cost accounting system will be subject to audit. Consultant firms that are unable to account for costs consistent with requirements of the FAR are not eligible to contract. Consultants selected will be required to either submit or have on file with WisDOT a Consultant Financial Report prior to contract execution. Advertised Fixed Fee % : 7.25 Fixed Fee Notification : The fixed fee for this contract will apply an indirect cost factor of 150% to the consultant's estimated direct labor, regardless of the consultant's actual indirect rate Treat the pavement with a 4-inch mill and overlay.
