This project deploys wastewater collection systems within the designated Wastewater Service Areas of the County including Saluda, Cooks Corner, Locust Hill, Topping, Hartfield and Deltaville. The Board of Supervisors authorized HRSD to proceed to final design and bid of the Cooks Corner sewer system in 2019 and has received Virginia Revolving loan funding for this project in 2020. The Board of Supervisor's authorized proceeding with phase 1 deployments in partnership with HRSD within Hartfield and Saluda in 2020. Project is included County of Middlesex FY 2025-2029 CIP. As of July 16, 2024 a design team is selected. Construction is already underway with completion set for winter 2030. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. MBE/WBE firms are encouraged to submit proposals. Proposals should be prepared simply and economically, providing a straightforward, concise description of provider capabilities to satisfy the requirements of the request. Special bindings, colored displays, promotional materials, etc. are not required. Emphasis should be on completeness and clarity of content. Use of recycled paper for responses and any printed or photocopied material created pursuant to a contract with the County is desirable whenever practicable. Use of both sides of the paper for any submittal to the County is desirable whenever practicable. The COUNTY is seeking proposals to evaluate alternative wastewater collection systems and have subsequent engineering and design services to construct wastewater collection systems for sewer service areas in Middlesex County. The offeror should be capable of providing general evaluation, engineering and design services for evaluation, design and construction of wastewater collect systems. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
