Renovation of approximately 14,000 gsf of the existing Briggs Hall Building, Type 1A. Renovate Laboratory spaces on the 1st Floor level. The project will renovate laboratory spaces on the 1st Floor Level, with other floor levels affected by improvements to the mechanical and plumbing systems. Other building improvements include accessibility upgrades along paths of travel, and other fire and life safety improvements, such as fire alarm system. Renovation work includes asbestos and lead remediation, selective demolition of the existing floors,walls and ceilings within the work areas, as well as coring through post tension concrete. New construction includes new partition walls, ceilings, doors, casework, finishes. Mechanical scope includes new HVAC reconfiguration, new cold rooms, exhaust systems, ducting, and DDC controls, and new and modification of fire sprinkler system. Other building system renovation includes new plumbing and fixtures, new electrical power panels, circuit breakers circuitry, wire and receptacles, new lighting, smart lighting controls, new telecommunications pathways, conduit, cabling and receptacles. Site improvements include stripping, compaction, miscellaneous irrigation and landscaping. Estimated Construction Cost: $11,000,000.00.
