Site work for a water / sewer project in Jupiter, Florida. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Several of the Town's drinking water supply wells have exceeded their useful life and are no longer responding to rehabilitation efforts. Poor production, high sand content, and poor water quality renders a well unusable. This project involves replacing those wells which have reached the end of their useful life and are no longer responding to well rehabilitation efforts. Replacement includes drilling test wells and new production wells, installing new wellhead piping, raw watermain modifications, instrumentation and electrical improvements, and abandoning existing wells. This project provides planning, engineering and construction for facility renovations and equipment replacement. The planned renovations consist of mechanical system replacements, chiller and penthouse a/c replacement, fire sprinkler system piping repairs/replacement, gas water heater replacement, future window replacement, ADA modifications, replacement of the flooring in the multipurpose gym, carpet replacement in the main ballroom/auditorium, basketball goal control replacements, and exterior door replacements 2026 Phase 2 of Floridan Aquifer (FA) well improvements for well casing repairs, wellhead, piping, electrical, instrumentation and control component replacements in lieu of full well replacement (RO6, RO8, RO9, RO10, RO11, RO12) $2,551,853 2027 Replace two Surficial Aquifer (SA) production wells (SA21 & SA27). These well are no longer responding to well rehabilitation. $2,516,169 2029 Replace two Surficial Aquifer (SA) production wells (SA15 & SA18). These well are no longer responding to well rehabilitation. $2,382,883 As of April 15, 2025, this project is included in the Town of Jupiter's Fiscal Year 2025-2029 CIP and funding is alloted for FY 2026, FY 2027, and FY 2029. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
