Portland State University (PSU) is seeking Responsive Responsible Proposers to submit Proposals for the replacement of its existing Emergency Responder Radio Coverage System (ERRCS). This Request For Proposal (RFP) represents PSU's good faith effort to detail its specifications and requirements for the replacement of the ERRCS that will best meet PSU's needs at the best value to PSU. Portland State University (PSU) is a comprehensive public urban university located in downtown Portland. PSU has nearly 27,000 enrolled students and serves nearly 50,000 individuals in credit and noncredit classes each year. PSU is Oregon's primary vehicle for meeting higher education, research, and public service needs throughout the Portland Metropolitan area. PSU is requesting proposals to replace its existing Emergency Responder Radio Coverage System (ERRCS) with new hardware (headend & remotes) which is capable of utilizing existing building RF/coax cabling. The existing Antennas and splitters are multi-band capable and will remain in place. The new hardware will use PSU's existing single mode fiber plant for distributing service from the centralized ERRCS in Cramer Hall to (23) remote buildings on campus.
