Site work, paving and new construction of a fire / police facility in Fruit Cove, Florida. Completed plans call for the construction of a 8,882-square-foot, one-story above grade fire / police facility.

As of December 10, 2019, construction on the new fire station should be complete by summer of 2020. The purpose of this bid is to solicit pricing from interested and qualified vendors for providing all labor, materials, equipment, and any other items necessary for the construction of approximately 8,882 square foot, 3-bay fire station to be located at Veterans Parkway & Race Track Rd in Northwest St. Johns County, FL. As an Essential Facility, the building exterior systems are to comply with enhanced Protection Level D impact resistance and withstand wind pressures as indicated in the design documents. The building will be stucco on masonry bearing walls with wood truss structural roof system. The roofing material is asphalt shingles on vapor retarder on sheathing board on rigid insulation. Windows shall be missile impact rated, laminated insulated, low E glass in aluminum framing. Plumbing, Fire Protection, Mechanical, Electrical (including installation of owner-provided generator) and IT work is included as indicated on the drawings and specifications. Exterior work includes: compacted fill, utility connections and coordination, paving and drainage, irrigation landscaping (both hard and soft) along with sidewalks as indicated on the drawings, and curb-cut at Veterans Parkway median & site access. All work shall be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications issued for this project. The bid documents include the plans, project specifications and any forthcoming bid addenda.
