The location will be in New Mexico portion. Homes will be served by the Navajo/Gallup Water Project (Mitten Rock Area) and waterline will be approximately 12 miles in length. The project will include the securing of easements/ROW, archaeological and environmental studies. Planning and design will consist of working with Indian Health Services and Navajo Tribal Utility Authority to construct waterline to families homes in the New Mexico portion of Red Valley community, San Juan County. The project will be divided into five phases. Phases I and III will include the easements/ROW, arch. and EA studies, planning and design each for about half the project. Phases II, IV, and V will consist of the construction of scattered waterlines. The waterline project will be managed by Red Valley Chapter and Navajo Tribal Utility Authority will own, operate, and maintain line after construction through an MOU. The Fiscal Agent is the Navajo Nation. Project is included in the New Mexico Department of Finance and Administration's FY 2023-2027 CIP. As of January 27, 2022, information regarding a design team or a general contractor is not available.
