As of March 5, 2019 the project has been awarded. Expected to start on April 2019 and will be completed within 2019. Smart Number 7847-20181212135821 Kilmichael-C Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and/or unit price basis, with additive and/or deductive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. Minority and women's business enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, materials and/or supply needs. The Town of Kilmichael, Mississippi is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The Town of Kilmichael, Mississippi hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in a contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement will be afforded the full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual preference, marital or veteran status or any other legally protected status in consideration for an award. The successful bidder must comply with the Davis-Bacon Act which requires that all laborers and mechanics shall be paid at rates not less than those determined by the Department of Labor to be the prevailing for the locality in which the project is located. This project is being funded in part by the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) Grant #MS-19213 and the rules and regulations therein apply.Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. The work includes : A. Preparation ofsurfaces, which are to receive finishes. B. Collection, handling and disposal ofdebris. C. Tank repairs D. Finishes for surfaces. E. Testing and cleaning.
