Site work, paving and asbestos abatement for a mixed-use development in New Paltz, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for asbestos abatement for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The work of this single-bid project includes installation of approximately 800 lf of direct buried, triple-wall insulated HTHW piping system in the same location/route as the existing pipe. Work also includes trenching/excavation, partial demolition/removal of existing piping, temporary fencing, asbestos abatement, landscape, asphalt and sidewalk restoration, testing of welds, flushing and cleaning, along with associated valves, fittings, bedding, supports and tie-ins at building. All bidders must present evidence of skill, experience and financial qualifications per Information to Bidders, Section 7 of the project specs. Subcontracting is permitted (Section 2.18 of SUCF Agreement). Principal subcontractors must be named within 48 hrs after bid opening per Information for Bidders Section 8. Bidders must submit within 48 hrs either certification of its NYS VendRep questionnaire (preferred) or a signed and notarized paper CCA2 form (Version 9/13 only), Attachments A, B, and C, Appendix A form, work descriptions, and preliminary project schedule. In accordance with State Finance Law 139-j, all non-technical inquiries regarding this procurement must be directed to Peggy McSorley or for MWBE related issues, Lois McLaughlin (518) 320-1650. Contact made to other staff regarding this procurement may disqualify the firm and affect future procurements with government entities in the State of New York. EEO goals for this project: 6% minority workforce and 3% female workforce Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 10% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 10% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 3% Contract term: 270 calendar days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed The Bidder agrees that it shall complete all work necessary for substantial completion within 270 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. In the event the bidder fails to complete such work by said date, or within the time to which such completion may have been extended in accordance with the Contract Documents, the bidder agrees to pay the Fund liquidated damages in the sum of $200 for each calendar day of delay in completing the work. A Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond, both of which Bonds shall be on the form prescribed by the Fund and in an amount not less than 100 percent of the total amount of the Contract awarded to the Contractor by the Fund. Plans will be available on December 12, 2019 from Plan & Print, 6160 Eastern Ave, Syracuse, NY 13211, (315-437-5111) in either electronic or paper format. Bidders will be able to access the project online at the Printer’s web site: http://planandprint.com/ Bidders who register as a plan holder through the Printer may acquire the bidding and contract documents using the following options: 1. For a fee of ten dollars ($10), interested firms may request and receive an electronic download of the bidding and contract documents. At the bidder’s expense, purchase a printed copy or copies of the bid set. 2. For a fee of ten dollars ($10), interested firms may request and receive a CD with electronic copies of the bidding and contract documents. At the bidder’s expense, purchase a printed copy or copies of the bid set. 3. For a fee of $49, interested firms may request and receive a printed copy of the complete set. An electronic download or copy on CD will not be provided. Payments of less than $50.00 are non-refundable. Deposits of $50.00 or more will be returned to all entities who have paid the aforesaid deposit for the entire set of Bidding and Contract Documents and who return such sets to the Consultant in good condition within forty-five (45) calendar days after the opening of bids, not exceeding five (5), so returned to the Consultant.
