The Blackhawk Technical College hereby gives notice that sealed bids will be received at the Blackhawk Technical College. Under this bid package, Contractors shall provide the necessary trades, for which bids are asked includes, but not necessarily limited to, furnishing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for the construction of a Blackhawk Technical College - University Center to be located at 6004 S. County HWY G in Janesville, WI 53546. Base bid will include approximately 840 square feet of renovation. The work for which bids are asked includes, but not necessarily limited to, selective exterior and interior demolition, aluminum doors and windows, gypsum board on metal framing, suspended acoustical ceilings, flooring, interior painting and electrical work. All bidders shall bid in accordance with and shall bid upon the bid forms included in the Contract Documents All contractors are responsible for the viewing/downloading of the correct documents for the purpose of providing a sufficient bid. As holders of these documents, you are acknowledging your requirements to obtain any addenda or other materials prior to bidding and/or construction of the project. Because the Owner and Angus Young Associates has no control over the means of printing these documents, you take the responsibility for verifying that you have all documents and that they have been printed correctly. Neglect of the above requirements will not be accepted as reason for delay in the work or additional compensation. BID SECURITY: A certified check or satisfactory Bid Bond payable to Blackhawk Technical College in the amount of 5% of the bid shall accompany each bid as a guarantee. If the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the Agreement, the Contract Performance Bond and Payment Bond, as required by the Contract Documents, within ten (10) days after the Notice of Award of the Contract by Blackhawk Technical College. Failure on the part of the bidder to do so will result in forfeiture of the bidder's certified check or Bid Bond to Blackhawk Technical College as liquidated damages. BID REJECTION: Blackhawk Technical College reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informalities in bidding, or to accept the bid or bids, which best serve the interests of the Blackhawk Technical College. BID WITHDRAWAL: No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the schedule opening of the bids without the consent of the Owner or Architect.
