Demolition, site work, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Burnaby, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 240,476-square-foot, three-story above grade stadium; swimming pool; for the renovation of a 9,911-square-foot stadium; for site work for a swimming pool; for the demolition of a stadium; and swimming pool.
The purpose of this Request for Proposal ("RFP") is to invite Proposals from professional, qualified and experienced firms to select a Proponent to provide construction management and construction services (collectively, "Construction Management at Risk") for the Burnaby Lake Aquatic and Arena ("BLAA") project. The Construction Manager will bring Construction Management expertise or complete understanding of CM at Risk methods to assist the owner, the City of Burnaby ("City") through the various phases of the Burnaby Lake Aquatic and Arena project, as identified in this RFP. The existing facility comprises the Bill Copeland Arena (remaining), the Burnaby Lake Arena (to be replaced) and the CG Brown Pool (to be replaced).
