Construction of a 9,352 sf facility one story fire department. It consists of two apparatus bays, sleeping quarters for crew, a kitchen, dining room, day room, physical agility space, a lobby and report writing. The construction is 8" CMU with stucco and stone veneer. The apparatus bay is constructed of 12" CMU with stucco and stone veneer. The building has a standing seam metal hip roof. There is a site wall around the perimeter of the property. The Board of County Commissioners will award a Contract to the low, responsive and responsible Bidder, price and other factors considered. The County will award one Contract for this requirement. The Board of County Commissioners, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality concerning bid proposals whenever such rejection or waiver is in the best interest of the County. The overall goal for all bids (inclusive of all additive and deductive alternates) is 25% participation of the contract value for this contract for M/WBE subcontractors and suppliers.The Ordinance also addresses minority/women group employment levels setting goals to encourage each Bidder to maintain 18% minority and 6% women employees.
