This Project consists of the reconstruction of Barlow Drive, reconstruction of an access drive off of Turney Road adjacent to the southeastern parking lot, various improvements to the concrete plaza near the rear parking area, reconstruction of the running track, reconstruction of eight (8) bituminous pavement tennis courts, and partial repaving of the north to south campus walkway. The Regional School District #9 hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation, and that they will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin or sex, in consideration for this award. Bidders must register with Westongraphics in order to receive notification of addenda. The Awarding Authority will not be responsible for notifying bidders that are not registered. Partial sets are not available. Bidders requesting Contract Documents to be mailed shall include a separate check for $40.00 per set for UPS Ground (or $65.00 per set for UPS overnight), payable to Westongraphics to cover mail handling costs. This project falls under the requirements of the State of Connecticut prevailing wage rate law. Current wage rate information is included with the bidding documents. Bid security in the form of a Surety Company Bond, on the form furnished by the Regional School District #9 for 5% of the amount of the bid must accompany each proposal. Regional School District #9 reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
