Bids may be held by LFT for a period not to exceed sixty days from the date of the opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract Double application of Bituminous Seal Coat to 3.47 miles of township roads Place advance notice signs on roads to be treated with Bituminous Surface Treatment no less than one week prior to application. Remove and properly dispose of loose and unsuitable materials from the road surface. Apply two coats of Bituminous Seal Coat as per PennDOT publication 408 Section 470 and as further described herein. Immediately Sweep the surface to remove loose aggregate. Sweep the surface to remove loose aggregate between 7 and 21 calendar days after application of surface treatment. Bids must be made on the forms furnished and must be accompanied by bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, payable to LFT. The successful bidder shall be bound to furnish a completed E-Verify form, and furnish and pay for a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond issued by a Surety licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as further described in the contract documents. Award to the lowest responsible Bidder is anticipated on 4/2/2019 at 7 PM Inquiries regarding this contract must be uploaded by 4 PM on 3/14/2019.
