Project # 17818 HVAC Upgrades for the Stroudsburg Area School District Chipperfield Elementary School 2015 Chipperfield Drive Stroudsburg, Pa 18360 Separate bids will be required on a lump sum basis for the following Prime Contract No. 17818.1 Mechanical Construction (MC) Should there be no decimal point and number behind the project designation; that means that this section of the Contract relates to all Prime Contractors. Sealed bids shall be delivered to the Owner between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on official business days. Bids received prior to the indicated bid date and bid time will be considered. The Owner assumes no responsibility for bids mailed, but not received. Bids shall be made on the Bid Forms provided and must be accompanied by bid security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. All proposals submitted are valid for acceptance by the Owner and may not be withdrawn for a period of at least sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof unless the award of contract is delayed by the required approvals of another governmental agency, sale of bonds or award of grant or grants, in which case, proposals shall be irrevocable for one hundred twenty (120) days in accordance with Section 3911 of the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Procurement Code, 62 Pa.C.S. Sect. 3911. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive informality in the bidding if it is in the best interest of the Owner to do so and to award contracts only to those whose proposal is deemed by the Owner to be most advantageous to their interest. This project is subject to Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, approved August 15, 1961, P.L. 987 (Act No. 442), as amended and supplemented, and reference is made to the prevailing minimum wage rates applicable to this project which have been promulgated by the Secretary of Labor and Industry. Bidders shall prepare their bids after giving consideration to the applicability of said Pennsylvania Wage Act to the work involved and all other laws and regulations, state or federal, applicable to such project.
