Demolition, site work and addition to a fitness / recreation center in Hamilton, Ontario. Completed plans call for the addition of a 12,766-square-foot, one-story above grade fitness / recreation center; for the demolition of a fitness / recreation center; and for site work for a fitness / recreation center.
Bidders eligible to submit Bids for this Request for Tenders have been previously selected through the process of a Request for Prequalifications, issued under Contract C14-13-22 which closed on July 26, 2022. Project scope includes the construction of a new one-story gymnasium addition to the existing Sir Wilfrid Laurier Recreation Center at 60 Albright Road in Hamilton. Site development work includes service work, grading and drainage, new parking lots and soft/hard landscaping. The building addition will contain a full-sized double gym with community rooms, office, storage and universal washroom. The existing recreation centre will see a new front entrance, interior finishes, exterior foundation/drainage repairs and a replacement of the existing roof.
