Description

Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Richfield, Minnesota. Conceptual plans call for paving for a road / highway; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.

Reconstruction of 70th Street between 2nd Avenue to 5th Avenue, also including sidewalk, curb, and gutter as well as undergrounding of parallel utilities. Additionally, the reconstruction will comprise replacement of City utilities, including an 84" storm sewer pipe that will connect to the storm system installed with the Portland Avenue project. The existing pipe is being monitored for condition, and rate of deterioration may impact the year of reconstruction. Per current conditions, this has been identified as high risk through the Stormwater Risk Assessment. Design of the roadway will include a public participation process. As of March 24, 2022, this project is currently in the FY 2022-2026 CIP . Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for construction Fy 2023. A firm timeline has not been established; however, construction is scheduled for Fiscal Year 2023. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
