This project also requires the removal of existing handrails/crash rails and replacement, renovation and provision of new finishes for museum display cases, demolition of existing doors, and replacement of fire doors and office doors, as well as provision of and installation of new ceiling grid and ceiling tiles at the VA Sioux Falls Health Care System, Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Work includes, but is not limited to general construction, demolition, framing, drywall, electrical, finish work, and certain other items necessary for completion of this project. All work shall be completed in accordance with project drawings/specifications and in compliance with the most current version of all applicable codes including, but not limited to: NFPA 101, International Building Code, ASHRAE, National Electric Code, VA Barrier Free Design Guide, and VA guidelines for patient safety and infection control. The overall period of performance for this procurement is 390 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed which includes all lead times for material/equipment acquisition, document preparation, and all submittals.
