Renovation of a mixed-use development in Raleigh, North Carolina. Working plans call for the renovation of a stadium; conference / convention center; office development; and restaurant.
As of April 8, 2025, this project was denied rezoning. An architect and construction manager at risk (joint venture team) has been selected and this project is in the pre-construction negotiated status. A firm timeline for sub-bidding and start of construction has not been determined. The project will consist of renovating the existing PNC Arena located in Raleigh, North Carolina. PNC Arena was originally constructed in 1999 and has had several partial renovations over the past 23 years. This project is intended to renovate much of the Arena, within the defined budget, with the goal of improving the Arena sufficiently to make it more competitive with its peer institutions. The renovations will focus on revenue generating spaces and improvements to the functional operation of the Arena. Capital Improvements (CAPX) projects will also need to be considered and coordinated with the overall renovation as appropriate.
