The major quantities of work to be included in this project are approximately 550 LF 8" PVC sewer, 750 LF 8" DIP watermain, 460 LF 8" HDPE directional drilled Watermain, 1000 Tons Bituminous Paving, along with Pavement markings and other ancillary items. Electronic Bids must be accompanied by a corporate surety bond in an amount which is at least equal to 5% of the total bid, and may be submitted electronically through Bid Express using Surety 2000 or InSure Vision Technologies, LLC, or as a hard copy by mail or other delivery method, either as a corporate surety bond or a certified check made payable to the City of Cloquet. If not submitted electronically, the proposal guarantee must be received at the City of Cloquet 1307 Cloquet Avenue Cloquet, MN 55720 in a sealed envelope marked clearly with the name of the bidder, type of work, and project number by 4:00 p.m. CST, the business day prior to the specified date of bid opening. Questions concerning the bid documents must be submitted electronically through Bid Express. In accordance with Cloquet City Code, Chapter 2, Section 9.2, a Project Labor Agreement (PLA) will be required for projects of $175,000 or greater. The Contractor and all direct subcontractors who have been awarded contracts for this Project shall accept and be bound by the terms and conditions of the PLA. The City reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract in the best interests of the City of Cloquet.
