As a precondition to its acceptance, County may, in its sole discretion, request that BIDDER withdraw or modify nonresponsive portions of a Bid which do not affect quality, quantity, price, or delivery. Goochland County, Virginia (County) is seeking sealed bids from qualified, licensed and experienced contractors for road and drainage repairs and modifications in the Bridgewater Subdivision. The work includes the furnishing of all labor, equipment, tools, materials, testing, transportation, supervision, permits, services and incidentals necessary for repairs and modifications to roadways and drainage elements within the public right-of-way on Bridgewater Branch, Bridgewater Court, Bridgewater Drive, Bridgewater Bluff, and Gammons Creek Drive. The purpose of the project is to meet a level of acceptance of the roads and ditches for Virginia Department of Transportation's (VDOT) maintenance system. All work, materials, and product deliverables must meet the latest VDOT standards. The project includes, but is not limited to: A. Transportation system repairs and modifications including traffic signs, pavement markings, asphalt surface milling and overlay, asphalt surface full depth repair, cleaning and sealing of asphalt surface cracks, installing guardrail, removing / relocating obstructions located within the roadway right-of-way, and cape seal installation (on all roadway surfaces). B. Drainage system repairs and modifications including installing concrete paved ditch, stabilizing drainage slopes, reestablishing drainage ditch lines, and removing vegetation around culverts and ditches.
