Renovation of an educational facility in Franklinton, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Project consists of the installation of aluminum impact resistant windows and fixed glass units for Franklinton Junior High School. The scope of work for this modified Undertaking meets the criteria in the LA HMGP PA, Appendix C: Programmatic Allowances, Item II, Section (C.3.b), 'removal of non-contributing, incompatible windows and doors which were replaced within the past fifty years and their replacement with new windows, doors and hardware which meets the SOI Standards for Rehabilitation'. In accordance with the LA HMGP PA, FEMA shall document this determination in the project file which will complete the Section 106 review for the Undertaking The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond guaranteeing faithful performance of the contract. Companies providing the bonds shall comply with the requirements of LRS-R.S. 38:2218 and R.S. 38:2219 as applicable. All bids must be in accordance with the contract documents on file with the Washington Parish Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness, at 901 Pearl Street, Franklinton, Louisiana 70438 Washington Parish reserves the right to reject all bids, waive informalities and to reject non-conforming, non-responsive, un-balanced or conditional bids, pursuant to the law. Bid must be accompanied by certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond acceptable to the owner in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount bid, and payable without condition to the owner as a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the contract, will promptly execute a contract in accordance with his proposal and all terms and conditions of the contract documents. All bidders must clearly show the Bid Proposal Number for the project they are bidding and Louisiana Contractors License on the outside of their bid envelope and on the bid proposal.
