A timeline for the award is not yet established.** **The anticipated start date is in August and substantial completion date is 120 days from the start date.** The Contract involves the slip lining of approximately 2,100 LF of 8-, 10-, and 12-inch sanitary sewer located on Mill Street and Main Street. Laterals in the lining area will be lined as conditions permit or may be excavated and replaced. For Contract No. 19-01, Bids will be based on unit prices. Bid security must be provided at the time of bid submission in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price made payable to The Municipal Authority of the Borough of Port Allegany in the form of a certified or bank check or a bid bond issued by an accepted surety and executed by the bidder. Surety companies executing bonds must be listed in the U.S. Treasury Department Circular 570, as currently amended, and be authorized to be in business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. A Pre Bid Conference will not be held. Work in Contract No. 19-01 is to be substantially completed within 90 days from the specified date. When the Successful Bidder delivers the executed Agreement to Owner, it must be accompanied by the required Performance and Payment Bonds. The Performance and Payment Bonds shall be in the amount of 100% of the liability of the Contract. The Municipal Authority of the Borough of Port Allegany reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any bidding informalities.
