Proposed construction of a renewable energy project which may include roof top solar for the top-ranked buildings in the village, ground mount solar array, wind energy, micro-hydro projects or a combination of options that would allow the reduction and hopefully elimination of the dependence on diesel energy generation and thereby offset greenhouse gas emissions. TIMELINE: Project is pending budget approvals. Renewable Energy Opportunity Study to investigate and make recommendations on the best renewable energy option, or combination of options for the project, was completed. Updates may be available early summer 2025, pending approvals.
