Renovation of a parking garage in Springfield, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage.

Project consists of providing all materials, labor, equipment, supervision, and services required to perform structural and waterproofing repairs to the Capitol Complex Above Ground Parking Structure in Springfield, IL. Work includes but is not limited to: full depth concrete floor repairs, partial depth tee stem repairs, concrete tee stem encasements, installation of supplemental bearing supports, installation of tee flange shear connections, epoxy injection repairs, routing and sealing of cracks, replacement of joint sealants, installation of traffic bearing waterproofing membrane, replacement of expansion joints, replacement of floor drains and pipes, installation of new overhead infrared now melt system and supporting steel framing, replacement of stair treads, risers, and landings, and painting of concrete and metal surfaces. All Proposals shall be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a Certified Check, Cashiers Check or Money Order made payable to the Illinois Secretary of State in the amount of 10% of the Bid Price. The substitution of a duly executed Bid Bond in the same amount in lieu of the aforementioned Bid Security will be acceptable provided the bidder is shown as Principal and the bond is underwritten by a Company authorized to do business in the State of Illinois. Bid proposals received without the required bid security are disqualified and will receive no consideration. The State will require the Contractor to furnish bonds covering faithful performance of the contract and payment of all obligations arising thereunder in the full amount of the Contract on such forms as the State may prescribe and with sureties as may be approved. All Bond costs and premiums shall be paid by the Contractor. The bonds must be submitted within fifteen (15) days of the date of the Notice of Award. Failure to do so may result in rejection of the bid and award to the next lowest bidder. The Contract which the Bidder agrees to enter into shall be in the form presently in use by the Office of the Secretary of State. The Contract may provide for partial payments of approximately 90% of the value of labor and materials incorporated in the construction of the Project, in accordance with the General Conditions. Final payments, which will include the retained percentage, will be made after the work has been completed and the Project has been accepted by the State and the Architect/Engineer. The form of contract may be seen upon application. All of the bidding documents are made a part of the Contract by reference as though written therein in full The State also reserves the right to reject the bid of any Bidder who, in the best judgement of the State and the Architect/Engineer
