The scope of work consists of approximately 1, 933 lf. of 8 waterline replacement on Main Street and Canal Road, and necessary appurtenances. Engineers Estimate is $252,200.00 . Shipping and tax charges are the bidders responsibility and payable directly to Becker Impressions. Bidders must be on PDG Planroom Official Bidders list in order to place a bid. The bid guaranty may be of two forms: 1. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code, using the form in the Contract Documents (The amount of the bid does NOT have to appear on this form). 2. A certified check, cashier check or letter of credit in favor of the Village in the amount of 10% of the bid. If the contract is awarded, a Contract Bond will be required, which is 100% payment and performance bond. 3. If you are an out-of-state corporation wishing to submit a bid for this project, you must submit an Ohio Certificate of Good Standing and the name and address of your Ohio Statutory Agent with your bid documents. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experience on projects of similar size and complexity, and a complete listing of all subcontractors to be used. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed by December 13, 2019. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements, as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration, 614.644.2239. All contractors and subcontractors involved in the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Domestic steel use requirements as specified in section 153.011 of the revised code apply to this project. Copies of section 153.011 of the revised code can be obtained from any of the offices of the department of administrative services. Bids received after the scheduled bid opening date and time, or not accompanied by a satisfactory bid bond or check, will neither be read nor considered. The Village of Antwerp reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularity in any bid and to determine the lowest and best bidder. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 60 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. This project is being partially funded by the Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC) funds.
