Site work and paving for a civil project in Palm Bay, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.

This project is comprised of the removal, disposal, replacement, and restoration of two separate individual culvert crossings along the Melbourne Tillman (MT) Water Control District (WCD) Canals 17 and 18: Garvey Road @ MT C-17 and Garvey Road @ MT C-18. Construction of these projects are all turn-key and will include all aspects of work including but not limited to: removal of existing failed culverts, furnish and installation of a 9' x 5' and an 8' x 6' box culvert, respectively, and all associated material, equipment, labor, maintenance of traffic, traffic detours, mobilization, erosion control, clearing and grubbing, excavation, dewatering, demolition, de-mucking, disposal of unusable materials, new fill, base rock under pipe and roadway, compaction of fill, stabilization, testing, restoration of road including pavement installation, procurement and installation of selected structures, utility conflict coordination and relocations, final clean up, sodding of disturbed areas, thermoplastic striping, as-built plans, and permit closure as applicable as per the provided construction plans and specifications provided herein. Additionally, the awarded contractor shall be responsible to furnish signed and sealed headwall designs for each of the locations. The term headwall and endwall may be used interchangeably and shall be understood to refer to the end treatment for the box culverts herein. The headwalls shall be designed as outlined in the FDOT Standard Plans Instructions (SPI) Index 400-292 and submitted to the City for acceptance prior to installation. For each location, the City has provided finish elevation and overall width of the headwalls in the design plans (Attachments D and E). Additionally, general notes, illustrations, and references to applicable FDOT Standard Plans (SP) and Standard Specification (SB) Indexes for both installation and design have also been referenced. The City will not be responsible for mail delays, late or incorrect deliveries. Additional information can be obtained by contacting the person identified in the bid/proposal document. The City reserves the right to waive any bid/proposal informality or technicality and to accept or reject any or all bids/proposals, whichever serves the best interest of the City of Palm Bay.
