Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Upper Gwynedd, Pennsylvania. Working plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The project includes the construction of two (2) new precast concrete submersible pump stations for Upper Gwynedd Township. The Valley Forge Road North Pump Station will have a pumping capacity of 6 MGD and the the Valley Forge Road South Pump Station will have a pumping capacity of 1.5 MGD. Contract 05227-136E is for the ELECTRICAL work and Contract 05227-136F is for the GENERAL/MECHANICAL work associated with this project. A Certified Check or Bid Bond drawn to the order of Upper Gwynedd Township in the amount equal to ten percent of the amount of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. All Proposals shall be submitted in accordance with the INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS, Paragraph 14 - BID SUBMISSION. Each bidder must accompany his Bid with a signed certificate from his surety company indicating that such surety company will provide the Bidder, if awarded the Contract, with a proper Performance Bond and Labor and Material Bond covering the full amount of the contract price as security for the faithful performance of all work under the Contract and payment of all charges in connection therewith. A Maintenance Bond is also required in an amount equal to ten percent of the Contract Price, including Change Orders, or five thousand dollars ($5,000), whichever is greater. Refer to INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS, Paragraph 10 - BONDS. All contractors and sub-contractors working on this project will be required to comply with the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act No. 222. Upper Gwynedd Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any bidding informalities. Any contract awarded will be to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. Except as otherwise provided by law, no Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) consecutive calendar days after the actual date of opening thereof or one hundred twenty (120) consecutive calendar days if the award is delayed by a required approval of another governmental agency, the sale of bonds or the award of a grant or grants.
