The County of Franklin is soliciting proposals for the installation of passive gas vents in existing solid waste to help control the migration of landfill gas. The Franklin County Municipal Landfill operating under Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) Permit No. 72 is an open unlined Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) Landfill. The facility is located on Route 220 south of Rocky Mount, VA. The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities in bidding, and will follow all applicable provisions of the Virginia Public Procurement Act Minority and/or female owned businesses or firms and Local (Section 3) County businesses or firms are encouraged to apply. The County of Franklin is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
