Renovation of a water / sewer project in Lexington, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
From interested parties for the replacement of media in two (2) of the existing filters at the Lexington Utilities Water Treatment Plant. The designated maintenance work shall include the following described construction: The removal and disposal of the existing media, removal of grout between the ceramic tile underdrain blocks, installation of new grout between the blocks and installation of new media in two (2) of the existing filters at the Lexington Utilities Water Treatment Plant. The proposal shall contain a bid deposit in the amount of 5% in the form of a bond, money order, cashier's check, irrevocable letter of credit, or cash. A successful bidder shall forfeit any required deposit upon failure on his/her part to enter into a contract within ten (10) days after receipt of award notification. Unsuccessful bidders shall be entitled to a return of such deposit (1) after the City and the selected Bidder have executed a contract, or (2) if no bid has been selected within sixty (60) days after the date of the bid opening, upon demand of the Bidder at any time thereafter, so long as it has not been notified of the acceptance of its bid. The City of Lexington, Tennessee reserves the right to reject any proposal for failure to comply with all requirements of the notice or of any of the Contract Documents; however, it may waive any minor defects or informalities at its discretion. The City of Lexington, Tennessee further reserves the right to reject all proposals.
