This Project is located along D Street in the Borough of Mahanoy City. The project includes the replacement of 153 LF of existing 95x67CMP stormwater pipe, installation of two stormwater inlets, and the full repavement of the roadway from curb to curb. The particular items of work for the contract are identified more specifically in the Bid Documents. The entire project will be awarded to one (1) Contractor. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Mahanoy City Sewer Authority or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable surety in the amount of 10 percent of the Total Bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price with a corporate surety approved by the owner. Pa prevailing wage rates apply. This bid is for a public works contract and bidder is therefore subject to the provisions, duties, obligations, and penalties of the Public Works Employment Verification Act, 43 P.S. 167.1-167.11. However, the award of the contracts may be delayed by required approval of another government agency or closing on the project funding loans. Owner shall reject all bids or award to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder within 120 days of the bid opening.
