This project is for the remodel of the 1st floor in the Salem, Oregon Office of Veterans Affair building. Details are included in the attached drawings. The purpose of the ITB is to establish a Contract for 1st Floor Remodel of Salem's Veterans Affairs Building 700 Summer ST. NE Salem, Oregon 97301 for the benefit of Oregon Department of Veterans Affairs. The Work contemplated under this Contract includes all labor, materials, transportation, equipment and services for, and incidental to, the completion of all construction Work in connection with the project described in the Contract Documents. The following range is a project estimate for bonding purposes: $500,000.00 to $650,000.00. Failure to complete the project known as 1st Floor Remodel of Salem's Veterans Affairs Building by the specified time will result in damage to the State of Oregon. Since actual damage will be difficult to determine, it is agreed that the Contractor shall pay to the State of Oregon, not as a penalty but as liquidated damages, $250.00 per calendar day for each day elapsed in excess of the Substantial Completion date stated in Section 3 of this Agreement.
