Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Marshall, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a stadium; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Estimated quantities of major work items for the project are as follows: COMMON EXCAVATION (P) 2,875 CY REMOVE BITUMINOUS SURFACING 1,530 SY TYPE SP 12.5 WEARING COURSE MIX (3,C) 1,355 TON AGGREGATE BASE, CLASS 5 1,630 CY 4-IN. CONCRETE WALK 4,310 SF 6-IN. CONCRETE WALK 649 SF CONCRETE CURB AND GUTTER, DESIGN B618 1,635 LF All bidders are required to become acquainted with the extent of the work and the conditions under which the work will be performed. All bids shall be made on the printed proposal forms of the City incorporated in the Project Manual and shall be accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check, payable to the order of the City for not less than 10% of the bid. Bids shall be directed to the City Clerk, securely sealed and endorsed upon the outside wrapper with a brief statement for the summary as to the work for which the bid is made. The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part of any bid, to waive minor defects, technicalities, or any informalities in the bidding or to advertise for new proposals, and to accept that bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City. Plans and Specifications are on file at the Office of the City Engineer located at 344 West Main Street, Marshall, MN 56258, telephone: 507-537-6773. Vendors who desire specifications may secure them from the City Engineer. The bids and the responsibility of the bidders will be considered by the City Council at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, 2019, in the Professional Development Room of the Marshall Middle School located at 401 South Saratoga Street. No bidder may withdraw his bid for at least 90 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids.
