The project consists of storm sewer replacement and new storm sewer on Hahn Road at the intersection of CSAH33/Erie Road & Hahn Road. This project will also include ditch cleaning and shaping along BNSF railroad and Schwan's rail spur. This is a utility only project not road reconstruction. Estimated quantities of major work items for the project are as follows: Ditch cleaning 510 lf bituminous patching 205 sy 18-in. Pipe sewer 45 lf 36-in. Pipe sewer 400 lf random riprap class ii 27 cy concrete curb and gutter, design b618 105 lf traffic control 1 ls. All bidders are required to become acquainted with the extent of the work and the conditions under which the work will be performed. All bids shall be made on the printed proposal forms of the City incorporated in the Project Manual and shall be accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check, payable to the order of the City for not less than 10% of the bid. Bids shall be directed to the City Clerk, securely sealed and endorsed upon the outside wrapper with a brief statement for the summary as to the work for which the bid is made. The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part of any bid, to waive minor defects, technicalities, or any informalities in the bidding or to advertise for new proposals, and to accept that bid deemed to be in the City's best interest. The bids and the responsibility of the bidders will be considered by the City Council at 5:30 P.M. on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, in the Professional Development Room at the Marshall Middle School, 401 South Saratoga Street. No bidder may withdraw his bid for at least 90 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids.
