Description

Site work for a water / sewer project in Wayland, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

As of September 26,2019 Project has been Awarded to RJV Construction with the amount of $1,238,758.51 The work generally consists of furnishing and installing approximately 2,700 linear feet of 8" diameter ductile iron water main in Boston Post Road (Route 20) from MassDOT Sta. 111+65 to MassDOT Sta. 138+30 with associated valves, fittings, hydrants, appurtenances, and surface restoration. Trench dewatering will be required along the route of the new water main installation. The work consists of crossing the Sudbury River utilizing an empty utility bay under the existing MassDOT bridge and the installation of 10-inch high density polyethylene water main below an existing concrete box culvert crossing the road using horizontal directional drilling. Work is subject to the requirements of a MassDOT Highway Access Permit. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount. A Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond each in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required. Minimum wage rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Labor and Industries under the provision of the M.G.L. c. 149, Sections 26 to 27H, as amended, apply to this project. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certificate of Prequalification issued by MassDOT in the "Sewer and Water" class of work.
