The Town of Mangonia Park, Florida, is seeking sealed bids from licensed contractor(s) for the installation of a sanitary sewer main along Sherwood Avenue, from Lakeshore Drive to Jeffery Avenue, and along Jeffery Avenue, from Sherwood Avenue to East Place, in Mangonia Park, Florida 33407, as indicated on the design plans. The work includes excavation for the sewer main, installation of the sewer main, repair/and or reconstruction of all areas impacted by the sewer installation and any other items typical of these types of projects. The successful bidder shall furnish all supervision, labor, materials, transportation equipment, tools, and any incidentals which are necessary for the property layout and completion of the work, as specified in the Bid documents and shown on the approved plans. The work includes, but is not limited to, Exhibit C - Technical Plans and Specifications. It is the responsibility of the Bidder to ensure that all pages are included. Therefore, all Bidders are advised to thoroughly examine this package. One (1) contract will be awarded for all work outlined and described in the plans and specifications The Town of Mangonia Park is exempt from Federal and State Taxes for tangible personal property. Bidders' attention is called to the fact that this project is a FEDERALLY FUNDED PROJECT UNDER COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT ("CDBG") funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") and administered by the Palm Beach County Housing & Economic Sustainability Department. Please see the Requirements for Federally Funded Projects which is incorporated herein and included as Exhibit B. All HUD federal rules and regulations pertaining to this project are applicable. Contractors must comply with all Federal requirements including Section 3 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1968, and the Davis-Bacon Act and Related Acts. The Town of Mangonia Park encourages qualified Section 3 contractors and vendors to participate in the bidding of this project. Further instructions and conditions are stated in the bidding documents. The Town reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and waive technicalities and/or any irregularities therein. The Town further reserves the right to award a contract to the bidder whose bid best serves the interests of the Town in the sole discretion of the Town.
