The Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District (MTD) announces the Invitation for Bids to install a hydrogen detection system and complete facility modifications at MTD's Maintenance Facility (803 East University Avenue, Urbana, Illinois 61802) to accommodate storage and servicing of hydrogen fuel cell buses. The scope of this project includes hydrogen gas detection system and facility modifications with classified electrical, mechanical, and heating systems in accordance with NFPA2 standards. By investigation of the work site, bidder shall be satisfied as to the nature and location of the work and shall be fully informed as to all conditions and matters, which can in any way affect the work or the cost thereof.
