Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Maryville, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The project consists of earth excavation, grading and shaping shoulders, seeding, placing an aggregate base course, portland cement concrete sidewalk, pipe culvert, precast concrete box culvert, turf reinforcement, signs, and other work necessary to complete the improvement in accordance with the plans and specifications. Printed sets of the IFB will be made available at no charge to qualified small businesses and DBE's. A small business will be considered qualified if it is listed on the Dynamic Small Business Search Directory and/or the IL UCP. Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). The District encourages minority business firms to submit bids on the project and the successful bidder to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction. Fifty percent of the labor hours on the project must be performed by actual residents of the State of Illinois in accordance with Article 80 of the FY10 Budget Implementation (Capital) Act, P.A. 96-37 (HB 2424.) This project is being funded, in part, with State of Illinois Bike Path Grant Program funding assistance made available through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
