Closed request for information has been included below for reference. ............... This is a Request for Information (RFI) (SOURCES SOUGHT) as outlined in FAR 15.201(c)(3). The purpose of this RFI is to accomplish market research regarding the design, fabrication, and installation of an approximately 13,000 square feet modular office building with associated earthwork and site utilities, demolition of four existing modular trailer units, including additional site work and earthwork for a new parking lot where the existing modular trailers are currently located. Market Research is being performed pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 to identify businesses capable of performing the functions described herein. The Government is requesting information regarding the availability of Small and Large Business Design Build and Construction firms who meet the capability requirements identified in this notice. Firms are requested to reply to this announcement with a response to the specialized qualifications below. Based upon the responses received from small businesses, consideration will be given to determine if this acquisition can be set-aside for small business competition. The type of work to be performed will be Hospital Construction and/or Renovation under applicable NAICS code 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction with a size standard of $36.5 million. Scope of Work The Design-Builder (D/B) shall include, but not be limited to, the following: developing construction documents, furnishing all plant, labor, tools, equipment and materials and performing all operations in connection with the design, construction, site development, and installation of a modular office complex. All work shall be performed at the Whiteriver Indian Hospital (WIH) located at 200 West Hospital Drive, Whiteriver, Arizona, 85941. The WIH is in need of additional office space for its administrative and patient care support services staff. The Human Resources, Purchased/Referred Care, Diabetes Management, and Quality Management departments have increased in size over the years and have outgrown their current workplace. These departments are currently housed in five (5) existing modular office buildings adjacent to the proposed project site location. The Facility shall be a modular, pre-engineered, prefabricated/pre-manufactured building transported to Whiteriver, Arizona for installation. The building may be of modular or panelized systems constructed and installed on a permanent foundation system with a slab-on-grade concrete floor. The D/B shall be responsible for site development and preparation, earthwork, parking lot, asphalt paving, storm water, site utilities, fabrication and installation of the proposed Facility in accordance with the D/B's approved construction documents and Arizona Department of Housing (ADOH) standards for factory built buildings and accessory structures and International Building Code (IBC) 2009 standards. The D/B (building manufacture) shall be a qualified and licensed manufacturer and installer with the ADOH. The D/B shall demolish three (3) double wide and one (1) triple wide modular units. The fifth double wide modular unit shall remain on-site; this unit shall remain operational throughout the construction process. The D/B shall install a new asphalt parking lot with sidewalks to serve the new Facility. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a commitment on the part of the government to conduct a solicitation for the stated services in the future. Responders are advised that the government will not pay for information submitted in response to this RFI, nor will it compensate responders for any costs incurred in the development/furnishing of a response.
