Site work, paving and addition to a mixed-use development in Prince Rupert, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for the addition of a 4,700,000-square-foot, one-story above grade, 108-acre transportation facility.
Expansion to the existing export logistics platform. Scope of work includes construction of land, rail, road and utility infrastructure required to support future transloading operations located on the platform. The 28-hectare project will increase the port's export transloading capacity from 75,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) to over 400,000 TEUs annually. TIMELINE: Construction is underway. *The main construction contract for site development was awarded to a joint venture that includes the Metlakatla First Nation, the Lax Kw'alaams Band, the Gitxaala Nation, and IDL Projects Inc. *Information regarding subcontractor bidding has not been disclosed to the content management team at this time.
