For the furnishing of all services, labor, materials and equipment for the construction of the following project: Sylvan Point Drive Drainage Improvements; Project No. 2020-02; Bid No. 20-0503. The Sylvan Point Drive Drainage Improvement project is located in Mount Dora off of Morning Side Drive. This project consists of installing storm pipe and structures along Morningside Drive and Sylvan Point Drive. Other work associated with this project shall include: grading swales, pavement repair, asphalt overlay, dewatering, sodding, and other miscellaneous incidental construction. The engineers estimate for this project is $345,649.00. As part of this project Lake County has entered into an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Mount Dora for installation of the City's water and sewer lines along Morningside Drive and Sylvan Point Drive. Bidders shall be required to provide alternate bids for this work for the bid to be considered complete. Engineer's estimate for the water lines is $108,550.00 and the engineers estimate for the sewer lines is $89,144.00.
Bids may be withdrawn prior to the date of opening, but no bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of opening The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids,to waive formal ities,and to award the contract in the best interest of Lake County, Florida. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee acceptable to the County Attorney, which shall be one of the following; bid bond or letter of credit, in the sum of five percent (5%) of the base bid and made payable to Lake County. Said bid bond or letter of credit shall be a guarantee that should the bid be accepted, the bidder will, within ten (10) days after written notice of the award of the contract, enter into a contract with Lake County for the services proposed to be performed and will at that time furnish an acceptable contract surety. Cash, company or personal checks will not be accepted.
